Pittsburgh Filmmakers Announces Summer 2010 Photo Exhibit

(Pittsburgh, PA) -- Filmmakers Galleries presents Interstitial, a group photography show by local artist collective Ag Works. It is on view June 4 – August 1, 2010. A reception will be held Friday, June 11, 6:00 - 9:00 pm. It is free and open to the public.

Featured throughout the gallery space at 477 Melwood Avenue are ten members of the collective with a variety of images, from traditional to digital photography, several in a themed series. The artists in the show have exhibited at local, national and international venues.

Ag Works – Ag is the chemical symbol for silver – is an emerging artist collective based in Pittsburgh that was initially formed by a small group of alumni of Pittsburgh Filmmakers School. The group was conceived to provide working artists a setting in which to share new work and gain feedback from their peers. Though Ag Works started as a group of photographers, artists of all disciplines are welcome.

Filmmakers Galleries, located at 477 Melwood Avenue in North Oakland, are open Monday –Thursday 12:00 – 7:00pm; Friday 12:00 – 6:00pm; and when films are shown in the Melwood Screening Room.
