 Pittsburgh FilmmakersÕ School Offers Scholarships for New Students

 

(Pittsburgh, PA) – Pittsburgh Filmmakers School of Film, Photography, and Digital Video – one of the most comprehensive art schools of its kind in the US – is now offering assistance to low-income students with at least a high school diploma or GED.  Full and partial scholarships are available to first-time students demonstrating financial need.* The application deadline is April 16, 2010.

 

Scholarship students may take any of the following introductory-level classes:

Summer (May 10 – August 9)

Basic Digital Photography

Directing Documentaries

Introduction to Digital

Introduction to Screenwriting

Introduction to Web Design

Motion Picture Fundamentals

 

Fall (Sept. 7 – Dec. 16)

Acting for the Camera

American Film History

American Independents

Basic Digital Photography

Black & White Photography I

Elements of Film

Introduction to Digital

Introduction to Screenwriting

Introduction to Web Design

Motion Picture Fundamentals

           

Classes are held at FilmmakersÕ headquarters, 477 Melwood Avenue in North Oakland; free parking is available across the street after 5:00pm.
