The School of Film, Photography and Digital Media offers one of the most comprehensive artistic and professional media arts curricula in the United States. Pittsburgh Filmmakers is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD), offering college level courses to university students and the general public (see For Prospective Students). Because they are part of a fine arts program, all classes stress aesthetics and the use of techniques to create polished works of art.
